In 1987, I co-founded and created The Global Fund for Women (GFW), which is an organization that raises and gives away money to women's groups around the world working on female human rights issues. I ran the GFW for the first ten years of its life. In an early annual report of the GFW, covering the first two years, I described why I created the GFW, and after retiring from the GFW I wrote a book, Paradigm Found: Leading and Managing for Positive Changewhich described the process of creating the organization.
